Conventional journalism now competes with user-generated content. Official channels of communication can be circumvented through social media. Foreign policy is tweeted from the White House and “fake news” has entered the zeitgeist. Cyberwarfare, hacking and misinformation pose complex security threats.Great Decisions is the nation’s longest-running global affairs education program, with content experts facilitating group discussions on topics of global importance. Ferris Hills hosts the local chapter of Great Decisions each year.This 8 week series of group discussions - facilitated by content experts - takes place in Ferris Hills Community Room from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Thursdays beginning February 22nd. There is no cost to attend the one-hour discussions, and individuals may attend any or all. An optional lunch follows for $14 per person.
