Fiddlers of the Genesee

Fiddlers of the Genesee brought the tradition of "old-time fiddling" to Ferris Hills last Saturday.  The club was founded in September 1991, after being inspired by the Genesee Country Village & Museum’s "Fiddlers’ Fair." 

Residents and guests were greatly entertained by 20 musicians playing stringed instruments including a primarily fiddle, viola, guitar, mandolin, banjo, dobro, hammered dulcimer and bass. There were instruments that some had never seen before, but hope to see again very soon.

Fiddlers of the Genesee had everyone clapping hands and tapping feet.  The energy in the room was amazing!

2023 Canandaigua Kiwanis Chef and Sip Challenge

For the win... Chefs, Tony Cafarelli and Jamison Leigh, served up Porchetta with salsa verde and pickled red onion.  Our chefs worked hard preparing and presenting their creation.  They enjoyed the fun competition with other respected chefs in the community.   The foodies came out to enjoy this amazing event hosted by Canandaigua Kiwanis.  Canandaigua Kiwanis is an active group of dedicated volunteers working tirelessly throughout the year raising money to support children.
