Dorothy Lander Shares Letters and Pictures from Floridian First Graders! Dorothy Lander Shares Letters and Pictures from Floridian First Graders! Sharing Finger Lakes Foliage with Young Floridians turns into a Treasure of Letters and Drawings! KristenMeyer / Thursday, March 27, 2025 0 3714 Last Fall, Dorothy (Dot) Lander collected a box of colorful leaves and sent them to her daughter, Janet, who is a 1st grade teacher in Florida. Janet's students, many of whom had never been exposed to the beautiful Fingerlakes colors, responded in a most thoughtful way. They drew pictures and composed letters. Dot was so surprised and overcome with joy when she opened the package. These pictures and letters have been displayed in the CM living room this week for all CM residents, staff, families and visitors to enjoy! A big thank you to Dot for sharing with all of us. We have been in awe of the thoughful messages, the drawings, and the amazing penmanship coming from such young children. Read more

Claire Watson / Monday, February 19, 2018 / Categories: Uncategorized, Ferris Hills Events, Clark Meadows Events, Senior Living Community Events, Ferris Hills Blog Winter Olympics Our opening ceremony for the winter Olympics was a huge success and certainly a team effort. We were honored to welcome Senator Pam Helming and coach Pamela Warren who both gave informative presentations regarding the local Olympians competing this year. Our very own Al Johnson wowed the audience with facts and photos of the host country, South Korea, and brought everyone up to speed with the sporting events. Katherine Duffy blessed the Olympians with a personalized prayer and CEO Michael Stapleton shared a few words on what the Olympics mean to him. Our taste buds were taken on a world tour with an array of foods from South Korea, Germany and Japan, just to mention a few. We thank our residents for participating in the flag procession and for the children who came to sing. GO TEAM U.S.A!
