A Road Trip to the Sampson State Park and Military Museum

What a day we had! The Men's Club from Ferris Hills and Clark Meadows spent the morning exploring the Sampson Military Museum

Our Activities Director, Beth Bingham, planned the day, drove the bus, helped us load up and unload, parked, and then joined us as we explored this amazing museum.  It was filled with photos, stories, and displays that brought back vivid memories and history from World War II and the Korean War.

The significance of this site at the Sampson State Park was powerfully evident throughout.  We were in awe of this beautifully curated museum, right here in our own region.  Many of the gentlemen - veterans themselves - were especially proud to see this important history so thoughtfully preserved and shared.

The History of Roseland Park

September marks the 40th anniversary of Roseland Park closing.  Today, Ben Falter, from the Ontary County Historical Society, put together a presentation on the History of Roseland.  These posters will be on display in our Garden Cafe for the month of September.  We try to have a new exhibit every month.
