Celebrating Our PCAs with Sundaes and Gratitude

Today, we had the joy of celebrating the incredible Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) who care for us with such compassion, patience, and grace.  These quiet heroes show up every day with helping hands and open hearts - and today, we had the chance to return the favor in a small but sweet way.

Residents turned the tables and rolled up their sleeves to scoop ice cream and add toppings for our beloved aides.  With laughter, strawberries, and plenty of whipped cream, we served up sundaes as a heartfelt thank-you to those who so faithfully serve us.

it was more than just a treat - it was a moment of connection, appreciation, and community.Thank you, PCAs, for the care you give and the kindness you show.  You make all the difference!

New Sign Language Class offered at Clark Meadows

Just for Beginners

Beginner Sign Language is for those who want review or are just curious about learning some signs.  Today we discussed the History of Sign Language and a few helpful hand movements to practice.  Motions such as the prong, palm out, palm up, palm in, palm down, claw, fist, and fist knock.  These are all formations used frequently when creating language with your hands.  Now we offer two different levels for sign language enthusiasts.  This class is so much fun and we are happy to create programming that is all inclusive.  We have in the past signed to music for our holiday concerts and for special community events.  This new class is learning quickly!  Stay tuned.
